Sandy, a registered nurse, also works part time at St. Mary's Hospital with the newborns and mothers. She loves the outdoors and enjoys walking the dog, playing tennis, kayaking, or just reading a good book. She and Dr. Harrington were married in 1981. Their only daughter Christine is a junior at Virginia Tech, majoring in Horticulture and minoring in Spanish.
